United States: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is pressing for explanations from the White House physician concerning President Biden’s purportedly “deteriorating cognitive state.” Comer has articulated significant worries that Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the physician implicated, might be entangled in the Biden family’s commercial dealings, potentially undermining his ability to deliver an impartial evaluation of the President’s health.

In a communiqué dispatched to Dr. O’Connor, Comer, R-Ky., has summoned O’Connor to testify before Congress. He questions whether O’Connor, given his “affiliations” with the Biden family, can furnish precise and autonomous assessments of Biden’s competency to fulfill his office. In particular, Comer seeks to determine if O’Connor’s medical evaluations of the President have been compromised by his connections with Americore, a company associated with Biden’s sibling, according to reports.

“Following a troubling debate performance by President Biden against ex-President Donald Trump on June 27, journalists have been swift to document what Americans have plainly observed for years: the President appears unwell,” Comer stated.

Comer highlighted that Americans have long harbored doubts regarding Biden’s “capacity to govern the nation,” prompting his committee to scrutinize O’Connor’s February evaluation, which pronounced Biden as a “vigorous, active, robust 81-year-old male, fit to execute the duties of the presidency.” However, Comer noted reports that O’Connor did not advise a cognitive examination for Biden.

“The Oversight Committee is apprehensive that your medical evaluations may have been influenced by your private commercial engagements with the Biden family,” Comer wrote. He cited evidence implying O’Connor’s involvement with Americore Health, LLC, alongside President Biden’s brother, James Biden.

O’Connor is accused of providing guidance to James Biden in relation to Americore, a firm operating rural hospitals that has come under scrutiny. Reports indicate James Biden received over $600,000 from Americore and facilitated a $200,000 payment to President Biden, labeled as a “loan repayment.”

Testimony from Americore employees suggests that James Biden did not render any services but instead leveraged his “Biden” name to promise funding from the Middle East, which never materialized. This has led to a lawsuit alleging James Biden exploited his political connections for financial gain.

During a committee interview, James Biden admitted O’Connor’s role in introducing him to a team addressing PTSD and alcoholism, underscoring O’Connor’s role beyond his medical duties.

Comer’s letter also disclosed that O’Connor and Hunter Biden participated in a meeting with James Biden and a hospital president affiliated with Americore.

The White House asserts that President Biden has not undergone a medical examination since February, despite Biden himself claiming a recent check-up. Comer contends that statements from the White House and the President seem inconsistent, necessitating further investigation into O’Connor’s role and impartiality, as per reports.

Comer has requested O’Connor’s cooperation for a transcribed interview by July 14 and demanded all documents and communications related to Americore and James Biden. This request coincides with increasing calls for Biden to suspend his re-election campaign, even from prominent Democrats, yet the President remains resolute about continuing his bid for office.

“I am running. I am the leader of the Democratic Party. No one is pushing me out,” Biden declared last week.
